Press Start: Getting Back Into Minecraft

How does Super Smash Bros. always do this to me? Right after the announcement of Steve/Alex/Zombie/Enderman as the next fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, I got an insane craving to revisit Minecraft after an eight year hiatus. Next thing you know, I've downloaded and installed Minecraft on my PS4. It's $10 less on PS4 than on Switch and PC, which I find odd.

Anyways, diving back in, so much has changed! This is coming from someone who has not played or followed Minecraft in really any capacity since around 2012 or 2013. There are bumblebees, new biomes, trees that take up 4 square blocks of space, and more. It almost feels like diving into a sequel to the game I used to play.

How long will I stick on this Minecraft train? Unknown -- but I'm excited to discover new things as I continue my Minecraft world.

I also downloaded the old Java edition on PC, and was surprised to see my old skin of Link from The Legend of Zelda was still attached to my character. I only wish I still had my parents' old PC that had all of my worlds on it.

Speaking of that, isn't it crazy that basically everyone in their 20's at this point has played Minecraft? Casual gamers, hardcore players, and everyone in between has probably heard or played Minecraft at some point. This game's reach is insane, and I'm excited to continue reexperiencing it.
